Payment Information
If you cannot pay the total amount owed by the due date, you can contact the Municipal Court Clerk to arrange a payment extension hearing date. Your due date will be extended to the hearing date. The Clerk will give you a request for payment extension form to complete, which MUST be brought with you to your assigned hearing. At that time you can take up financial matters with the Judge.
Actions Taken for Fail to Pay a Forfeiture
- Payments are accepted in person at the Clerk's Office. Normal office hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm. However, payments are also accepted Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm if you know your citation number and balance due.
- Payments may also be be mailed to the Shawano-Bonduel Municipal Court at 127 S. Sawyer St., Shawano, WI 54166.
- Payments may be placed in the drop box outside City Hall. Please note that any payments placed in the box will be processed on the next business day.
- Citizens may pay in court the day of your appearance.
- Credit cards are accepted, there are 3 ways to pay:
- In person at the Municipal Court Clerk's office (inside City Hall).
- Calling GovPay Net at 1-888-604-7888.
- Online Payments through GovPayNet, you must use the Municipal Court's pay location code of 2211 when paying online or by phone. A convenience fee will be added to the amount due for use of this service.

Actions Taken for Fail to Pay a Forfeiture
- Suspension of your driver's license or ability to obtain a driver's license for up to 2 years.
- Issuance of a Writ of Commitment (warrant) for your arrest and commitment to the local jail.
- Being placed on the tax intercept program to intercept your state tax refund.
- Send to collection agency.
