City Hall Meeting Room Information


The City of Shawano City Hall has four meeting rooms.  The primary purpose of the City Hall meeting rooms is primarily for use in City Hall related activities (such as: City Council, Commission/Committee/Board meetings and elections).  When the rooms are not needed for City meetings, they are available for use by other individuals or organized groups, subject to the policies and guidelines established by the City Common Council.

Rooms may be used for meetings in which are open to the public; public lectures; panel discussions; film and slide presentations; group discussions; workshops; programs; and organizations or individuals engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, governmental or charitable activities.  No admission may be charged by the individual or group for persons who attend or participate in the meeting.

Rooms may NOT be used for any purpose which may interfere with regular operations and use of City Hall meeting room(s); programs involving the sale, advertising, solicitation or promotion of commercial products or services; or personal, company or family parties.

The City reserves the right to cancel a room reservation made by any other entity if the reserved room is needed for City purposes. Applications and meeting room Rules and Regulations can be obtained in person from City Hall or by clicking here, and must be signed by an authorized representative of the group.  

A $25.00 security deposit and a $25.00 rental fee is required. The security deposit will be returned if the room used is in a clean condition as stated within the Rules and Regulations.  Non-profit civic and charitable groups may use the rooms one time per month without charge.

Civic Center Meeting Room Information


The Civic Center is located at 225 S. Main Street in Shawano and may be rented by individuals or organized groups, subject to the policies and guidelines established by the City Common Council.  Renters shall not conduct a business/activity deemed hazardous, or a nuisance.

The Security Deposit is $100.00 and the rental fee is $50.00 for the upstairs and $50.00 for the downstairs. The security deposit will be refunded if the Civic Center is returned in clean condition per the rental agreement.
